Curiouser and curiouser…

David Mellor, an outstanding British flatware designer of the last century passed away aged 78 back the the beginning of May this year (see article here) . But if you go to the David Mellor Design website, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this is all a myth.

For whatever reason, Mellor’s untimely death does not appear to have been acknowledged in any way. I can only think that the family and staff are still in shock as his passing and are yet to inform the web design company. Let’s hope they rectify it soon and give him a lovely tribute.

In other news…the number of people following me on Twitter has gone from 10 to over 80 in the space of a week. Most extraordinary. I’m really not that interesting yet! There’s a fantastic bunch of designers and homey celebrities including Kirstie Allsop and Mary Portas (Queen of Shops) to name but a few. If you’re not following me yet, please do, and I’ll give you some interiors titbits throughout the week.

Dominic Wilcox has just launched his new blog called Variations on Normal. If you don’t know Dominic’s work already, he’s the guy who created the crazy ‘War Bowl’, amongst other things.

Fabulous tile company, Fired Earth have launched their sale which ends on 12th July. If there was anytime to pick up a bargain, it’s now! What I didn’t know, is that Fired Earth are actually owned by Aga. A match made in heaven eh?

As the ol’ neck and wrists are playing up, I am yet again going to have to keep it brief this post, but I will get better soon I promise. Send good wishes my way and who knows what could happen!
